Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Todays Racing Tip – WESTERN RULES
Time & Track – 3.00 Carlisle (02/12)
Best Odds – 7/1 @ William Hill
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Had to fight hard for victory on penultimate hurdles start at Ayr in first-time cheekpieces and after being pulled up in a 0-145 as well as an unseat on chase debut, this gelding faces weaker opposition despite it being a class 2 with top-weight only rated 124. The talented Danny McMenamin has been booked for the ride (is 1/1 on this horse) and claims a valuable 7lb which hopefully can swing things in his favour on ground that he relishes.

Todays Racing Tip – STONECOLDSOBA
Time & Track – 2.50 Leicester (02/12)
Best Odds – 7/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Has been held on last two outings but they both came over longer trips and his best runs have been over 2m which he gets today. He won from a pound higher mark at Huntingdon in April in a higher grade under Aidan Coleman and he is back in the saddle here. He prefers this quicker surface and could still have improvement in him as the gelding is still only a five-year old.

Todays Racing Tip – KELPIES MYTH
Time & Track – 2.00 Carlisle (02/12)
Best Odds – 7/1 @ William Hill
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Is 2/2 on soft ground with both victories coming earlier this year, one of which was over track and trip. Finished midfield in a hot Novice Handicap Hurdle at Sandown won by Ballymoy and was outclassed at listed level two runs ago but came back to form with a decent third at Musselburgh at the start of November. Carries top-weight here but should be more to come, Blair Campbell claims 5lb and has conditions in his favour here, should be involved.

Todays Racing Tip – ROGUE ANGEL
Time & Track – 2.10 Fairyhouse (02/12)
Best Odds – 10/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Was eased down in the Troytown last weekend over 3m but the step back up to 3m5f for his should suit better having gone down by just under two-lengths on his penultimate start behind stablemate Out Sam over a furlong shorter and arrives here on better terms with that rival. He’s back on the same mark as when winning the 2016 Irish Grand National over C&D which if reproducing something similar should be competitive with Liam McKenna claiming a further 7lb. Goes on any ground and is the only one in the field who has won over a distance this far.
