Analysis – Scored on fourth start after hitting the crossbar in first three runs (all in maidens) and began life in handicap company with a large-field win at Doncaster over seven-furlongs in this grade. Went up 8lb for that effort and although not won in four subsequent starts he’s only underperformed once in those. Only run on all-weather was when well b asked favourite here and was beaten just over a length in third in a higher grade. Last two runs were in that grade when not beaten far and now dropped into a class 3 with Callum Rodriquez claiming a handy 3lb could see this colt back in the winner’s enclosure.

Analysis – Has had an up and down career so far but this lightly-raced nine-year old has run well from marks this low. He has twice won comfortably from a 1lb higher mark than what he’s running off here (3m on good and 2m4f on soft) and a recent close up third from this mark of 104 at Wincanton was a good effort over a furlong further in softer conditions which may have stretched him. The drop back to three-miles on this better ground will suit and Ian Williams’ yard have been in good form.
