Analysis – This five-year old is currently sitting on a 7lb lower mark than his win last July at Beverley and that came a couple of runs after a course victory over a mile off 2lb higher. He was a beaten favourite in a small field the last day but has been eased a pound since and if replicating his second placed effort here on his penultimate start then I can see Tim Easterby’s gelding going close at a course where his form reads well (1-3-3-2). Rachel Richardson has won twice on him and has also been successful in the last two runnings of this contest, so let’s hope she can land the hat-trick.
