Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Todays Racing Tip – LAUGH A MINUTE
Time & Track – 3.00 Ascot (06/10)
Best Odds – 9/2 @ William Hill
Stake – 3pt win
Analysis – Showed some good form as a two-year old last year and ended that campaign by winning a valuable 2yo Stakes at Doncaster on good-to-soft. Began this season when an unlucky fourth over C&D behind Invincible Army when not getting the clearest of passages before staying on. He’s since been gelded and his two outings since that op have been solid, firstly winning a conditions stakes (again at Doncaster) before running third in a French Group 3 latest and the form of that has taken a few boosts since. Three-year olds have won five of the last eight runnings of this contest and there’s a chance here that record can improve.
Result – Non Runner
Todays Racing Tip – EMMAUS
Time & Track – 4.00 Redcar (06/10)
Best Odds – 5/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 2pt win
Analysis – Below par effort the last day when hammered eventhough he has a liking for an easier surface a mile on heavy ground may well have stretched this four-year old. He’s dropped back to 7f where he won a similar event to this at Leicester back in April (landing a course hat-trick in the process) and a better showing can be expected here with his trainer in a bit of form. He ran well in a couple of group races prior to that recent flop and with the forecast suggesting that they’re expecting a lot of rain up until race-time, that will only strengthen his chances with Tabarrak so far not showing much form on soft ground.

Todays Racing Tip – HOLMESWOOD
Time & Track – 4.45 Ascot (06/10)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Ladbrokes
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – I tipped this horse last weekend when he was fourth in a class 2 handicap at Haydock and he’s been eased a further pound as his mark continues to drop. His last win came from 3lb higher last August when completing a hat-trick all over this five furlong trip. He takes a drop in class from last week and he goes on most ground apart from anything too testing as long as there’s not too much rain he should handle conditions fine. This four-year old is handicapped to play a major role and with Puds in the field there should be a strong gallop which we’ve seen suits this gelding in the past.
