Analysis – Won a Nursery on handicap debut in class 2 company on good ground and although four subsequent starts were underwhelming a recent third from this mark gives this three-year old a chance and he’s won a novice over this C&D in June of last year so is worth a punt at generous odds in my opinion especially if first-time visor can eke about a little bit more improvement with regular pilot Jason Hart on board.

Analysis – Opened his account on handicap debut at this course over seven-furlongs in October and was hit with a 11lb rise for that commanding effort. Underwent a gelding operation over the winter and returned to action with a sound third beaten just less than a length when favourite for a Doncaster handicap when staying on well. Connections have now stepped him up to a mile which can bring about further improvement and he should go close for a trainer with a 31% strike-rate at this track.

Analysis – Ran well in two novice events back in October on the synthetics (both over a mile) and after a gelding operation ran out an impressive winner at Windsor on reappearance over this mile-and-a-quarter trip. Now tackles handicaps for the first time and looks set for a big run in conditions that will suit with Pat Dobbs keeping the ride.
