Analysis – This three-year old finally opened his account at the sixth time of asking at Newbury by a length a fortnight ago and up only 3lb he could still be fairly well handicapped being unexposed. He won in good style after meeting slight interference in running and though this is a rise in grade I think there’s more to come for a yard that remains in good form.

Analysis – Absolutely bolted up over half-a-furlong further at Nottingham back in April and this five-year-old is now 2lb lower for that and in a weaker contest. Jim Crowley rode him for the first time that day and he’s back on board hoping to make it a double on the gelding. He was against strong opposition the last day in softer than ideal conditions at Pontefract when midfield though a recent fourth in a class 3 at York behind a few subsequent winners looks good form and a repeat of that run would see him go close at a course where he’s ran respectable races in class 2’s previously.
