Analysis – Charlie Appleby’s three-year old is progressive well through the handicap ranks this season with a couple of wins over 1m6f, the most recent in a more valuable race than this at York and although question smirks at the drop in trip he has already won over this distance at the start of the season in a Wolverhampton maiden. Cheekpieces remain in place having worked well the last twice and a follow up to that recent win could very well be on the cards.

Analysis – May have found the extended two-miles a bit too far on a couple of occasions this season but was dropped back to this 1m6f trip in listed company last Saturday where he was beaten by a neck to the 114-rated Duretto off level weights. Back in a handicap here from a mark of 103 he should be competitive if in the same mood as last week and Ryan Moore looks a good booking.

Analysis – Returned from a short break with two solid efforts in second place from this mark in recent weeks and this filly is handicapped to win with her sitting on her highest winning perch. She’s done most her winning over this five-furlong trip and despite being upped in grade here she has won in this company. Versatile ground-wise I can see this four-year old adding to her already impressive 33% strike-rate.
