Analysis – This four-year old ended his time at Phillip Hide’s yard with a win on the all-weather and he struck on stable debut at Sandown at the beginning of September and a 3lb rise in the weights might not be enough to prevent the hat-trick with further improvement not out the question on second start for this yard and still relatively unexposed in this sphere. This son of Poet’s Voice won the same contest just 12 months ago from 8lb lower on good-to-soft ground so conditions should be fine and he ticks a lot of boxes in regard course (2/2), distance (5/11) and class (3/6).

Analysis – Has yet to strike since winning seven-furlong maiden on debut last August though has been running well in handicaps over a mile this summer, with his only bad effort coming over a longer trip in a class 2. His handicap mark has been decreasing slowly and this gelding looks capable of winning from his current rating of 86 where he ran a solid race last time out at Newmarket when second. Silvestre De Sousa takes over the reigns and another bold run can be expected with a low draw a plus.

Analysis – Was a surprise 33/1 winner on handicap debut back in June but has progressed nicely since and arrives here in search of a hat-trick and this gelding should be involved at the business end now dropping in grade after a couple of class 2 wins. He’s up 5lb for the latest of those but that was his first attempt at the extended 1m3f so further progression could be forthcoming still being unexposed at this trip and his trainer has been in good form the past few months despite not having many runners. Jane Elliott takes off a handy 3lb again also.
