Analysis – Soundly beaten in a bumper and maiden hurdle on first two starts but has gone close the last twice in novice company. The first of those efforts came over C&D when beaten just under two-lengths before going down by only a neck at Stratford next time and the winner of that (who he received 6lb off) has since finished fourth in a decent class 3 handicap at Cheltenham last month and is rated 127 so this opening handicap mark of 114 looks dangerous on that evidence. He’s been very keen in his races but if settling better here the five-year old must have a great chance for the Skelton’s, has finished his races off well.

Analysis – Won this race last year from a pound lower mark and was a solid second at Fontwell the last day after needing the run prior to that. He should be fit and ready for a crack at landing this contest again with better ground very much in favour. Tom O’Brien, who rides this track well, is an interesting jockey booking too for Seamus Mullins.
