Analysis – This seven-year old is currently sitting 17lb below his highest winning perch and in fact all of his handicap wins to date have come from a rating 5lb or move above his current of 75. This looks a weaker contest to those in which he usually competes and the forecast rain would play to his strengths, form figures on soft ground reads well (5-2-1-1). He was well supported the last day at Yarmouth but was only fourth though the ground may have just been a bit too lively for his liking and if able to rediscover anywhere near his best form then he’s definitely got a chance in the hands of Oisin Murphy who has a good record on this gelding.
