He stayed on up to the line when second the last day at Brighton and the return to a galloping track should suit having gained that only win at Newbury, he’ll handle conditions and a big run could be on the cards off the same mark as last time.

Analysis – Second start for his new yard after a promising debut when third at Newbury in soft ground over 1m4f. The assessor has eased him a pound which puts him on the same mark as when winning at Redcar almost two years ago when ridden by Serena Brotherton, who is on board again. He’s a pound below the mark in which he won from when winning over this distance last year and has also won from 11lb higher on the all-weather, so he’s certainly well-handicapped. There’s a big possibility that this six-year old would have come on for that stable debut and he might be the answer to this open looking amateur riders handicap.
