Todays Racing Tip – YAFTA
Time & Track – 3.00 York (15/05)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Enjoyed a good three-year old campaign in which he won a Group 3 at Newbury as well as a class 2 handicap both over this 6f trip. He reappeared in even better form last month when agonisingly denied the Group 3 Abernant Stakes at Newmarket when collared on the line by the 66/1 outsider Keystroke and with that run under his belt he’s entitled to progress further this campaign now a four-year old and he’s got his good-to-firm ground.

Todays Racing Tip – THE NIGHT WATCH
Time & Track – 4.05 York (15/05)
Best Odds – 13/2 @ William Hill
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – One of the more unexposed in this competitive handicap over 7f, this gelding won on second career start, in a Wolverhampton novice event on first go at this trip and the runner-up is now rated 88, which is actually 5lb higher than his opening mark here. He was a sound second on return to action at the end of April and William Haggas, who’s in good form, has decided to make use of Cieren Fallon’s 7lb claim which could swing things in this son of Dutch Art’s favour.

Todays Racing Tip – KEY TO POWER
Time & Track – 6.25 Bath (15/05)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ William Hill
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – This three-year old has been running consistently well so far this year and takes a drop in class now. He won a novice back in February on the synthetics and has been threatening to win in handicap company in four starts, having gone down by just over a length on three of his four runs in this sphere. Down a pound now and Franny Norton takes over from a claimer which would suggest connections think he’s capable of winning from this mark.

Todays Racing Tip – AMBEROSE
Time & Track – 8.05 Perth (15/05)
Best Odds – 11/2 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Lightly-raced six-year old who should be suited by this step up in trip based on pedigree and the way he’s shaped the last few outings. He was staying on over 2m4f here the last day when beaten three-lengths in second and despite a 2lb rise in the weights this looks slightly easier and the gelding is unexposed at the trip He won on penultimate start at Carlisle and the runner-up has since won, and could boost the form further earlier on the card. Danny McMemamin is on board again and negates 7lb with his claim which is always a bonus.
