Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Todays Racing Tip – EMBOUR
Time & Track – 2.10 Newbury (17/05)
Best Odds – 8/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Has won 3/6 over this trip as well as a close third and the four-year old is only 2lb higher than for his latest success which came at the expense of Vibrant Chords who re-opposes here. Has won on both good-to-firm and good-to-soft so the ground won’t be an issue and Sean Levey, who is 2/2 on the gelding, is back on board – shouldn’t be far away if running to the same level or improving on his latest Doncaster third (beaten a length).
Result – Won +7.20
Todays Racing Tip – BIG KITTEN
Time & Track – 3.35 York (17/05)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Comes here 3lb higher for when getting collared late on at Chelmsford by Mythical Madness. He did win over a similar trip to this at Newcastle last November and with the quicker ground likely to suit (unraced on anything better than good-to-soft on turf) he’s got to have a chance being so unexposed and the booking of Richard Kingscote is an interesting one for William Haggas as the pair have a 30% strike-rate when teaming up.
Result – Non Runner
Todays Racing Tip – RESHOUN
Time & Track – 3.45 Newmarket (17/05)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – The application of cheek-pieces seems to have helped this gelding, winning a class 2 handicap off 5lb lower last September and also going close in the same grade as well as a listed event before going on a winter break. The five-year old returned with a staying on third behind the re-opposing Gumball, beaten one-and-a-half-lengths, and with that run under his belt and a 4lb swing in the weights he may well be capable of turning that form around with him still relatively unexposed at this 1m6f trip.
Result – Lost
Todays Racing Tip – THEGLASGOWWARRIOR
Time & Track – 7.30 Hamilton (17/05)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Went close just four days ago at Musselburgh and off the same mark I just have a feeling that connections are sweet on his chances off this current mark, especially turning him out so quickly and the fact that his trainer Jim Goldie has won this race three times in the past nine years would give this five-year old strong credentials. His course form reads well too with form figures 4-1-1-2-3 (all achieved last summer) and though 13lb higher for his last win he’s not been beaten far off this mark since. Ben Robinson claims a handy 3lb, the ground is in favour and all his wins have come around this 1m4f trip (he was also fifth in last year’s Cesarewitch over a trip too far, so is no mug).
Result – Won +4
