Analysis – Drops back into handicap company for only the second time after two narrow defeats in listed events, the form of both those races have been boosted more than once since, and her only run in a handicap resulted in victory over a mile at Sandown. She’s dropped back to seven-furlongs for this which could help her continue to progress having only raced over this trip on debut and William Buick (on board for both listed races) keeps the ride. Should be involved.

Analysis – Was a creditable third in the John Smith’s Cup over the extend 1m2f at this course last time out (the horse in second has won a Group 2 subsequently) when travelling strongly into the race, he just didn’t see the trip out so the drop back to a mile will suit. He was only beaten by a head over this trip at Sandown back in May and this dual distance winner still has plenty to offer in handicaps, the ground isn’t an issue and he’s got a nice weight.
