Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Todays Racing Tip – BOOM THE GROOM
Time & Track – 2.10 Epsom (24/04)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – I remember tipping this horse in the same contest last year and he was very unlucky not to win having been blocked on the rail until flying at the finish to lose by half-a-length. That was from a 3lb higher mark and he signed off last season with a similar effort again over C&D beaten the same distance off this mark. He’s been running well on the all-weather this winter, including a victory in a higher grade on his penultimate start and arrives here. He’ll need things to go his way in-running but is well handicapped to go very close having won from marks 8lb and 12lb higher in the past.

Todays Racing Tip – RUBENESQUE
Time & Track – 2.25 Perth (24/04)
Best Odds – 7/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – She needs to be forgiven her last two starts over timber, when falling and then was pulled-up but she’s since had a confidence booster back on the level when comfortably winning a handicap on quick ground at Pontefract. She has won twice over hurdles, including over a similar trip to this and was also beaten just over two-lengths from a 2lb lower mark at Cartmel at the end of August. With a clear round this seven-year old is certainly handicapped to go well with Harry Reed claiming his 3lb (34% strike-rate with this trainer).

Todays Racing Tip – TIKKINTHEBOX
Time & Track – 3.10 Fontwell (24/04)
Best Odds – 11/4 @ William Hill
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – This seven-year old landed a double around this time last year off lower marks than this but after a flop at Newbury he went in again from only 2lb lower than his mark now. He should be match fit now after a decent fourth on reappearance in a higher grade and although not successful over this trip yet he has gone close before and should give the short-priced favourite a few things to think about. This yard won last year’s renewal and their gelding could well carry top-weight to victory dropping in grade with conditions to suit.
Result – Non Runner
Todays Racing Tip – PETIVILLE
Time & Track – 4.35 Perth (24/04)
Best Odds – 8/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Would’ve found 3m5f on soft ground too demanding at Warwick the last day but had ran well prior to that on better ground with his best effort coming when beaten four-lengths in third at Kelso behind Blue Flight who has advertised that form well winning since and finishing fourth in the Scottish National. This unexposed chaser should appreciate the drop back to 3m and is partnered by Danny Cook for the first time and he has a good record when teaming up with this trainer who also does well here when making the long journey up from Gloucestershire.
