Analysis – Seven time winner who is on a pound lower mark than when winning at Haydock last October in a slightly better race than this. He has yet to win this year so far but has ran some nice races in defeat including on his last three starts. He was beaten half-a-length from a tough draw at Chester three runs ago and most recently over 6f here just last week in a class 2 when headed close home. The step back up to 7f will suit and from the same mark in a lower grade must enter calculations, especially with the addition of Jamie Spencer in the saddle, who has been in fine form recently (28% strike-rate in the past fortnight). Entered at Goodwood on Wednesday in a race worth twice as much as this, I think he’s got a great chance here.
