Todays Racing Tip – SALATEEN
Time & Track – 2.00 York (25/05)
Best Odds – 11/2 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – David O’Meara has won this twice in past five years as well as a few close calls since, including with So Beloved, but the veteran hasn’t won since 2016 and it’s his stablemate which I prefer. This seven-year old has been beaten in this off higher marks in the past but is back on a winning mark now achieved around this time last year. He ran well the last day over a mile and the drop back to his favoured trip (nine wins) is the right move and the ground is fine, I’d be surprised if he’s not involved in the finish.

Todays Racing Tip – PERFECTION
Time & Track – 4.35 Haydock (25/05)
Best Odds – 7/2 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Ended last campaign well with two wins and a close second over 6f on this good-to-firm ground and his return effort over a furlong further in a Group 3 was a solid effort especially having come on soft ground. The drop in trip and grade will suit and he looks more than capable of conceding weight all round if reproducing the form of his last four outings.

Todays Racing Tip – MEARING
Time & Track – 4.40 Chester (25/05)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – This four-year old is a three-times winner which has included a C&D success last September on only previous course visit, as well as at Hamilton on return to action after a short break the last day. He’s up 4lb for that win but Jamie Gormley takes off 3lb again and the step back up in trip will suit. The form of that last run has worked out with the second subsequently winning and this gelding has the plum draw in stall one.
Result – Non Runner
Todays Racing Tip – ZAC BROWN
Time & Track – 4.55 Goodwood (25/05)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – The handicapper has given this eight-year old a great chance back on turf off a mark 24lb below one in which he’s won off on the all-weather and 6lb beow his highest winning turf rating. He’s a five-time winner over 6f so the step back up from the minimum won’t cause a problem and he won at this course back in 2017 from 4lb higher under David Egan, who is 1-2-1-8 on this son of Kodiac.
Result – Non Runner
