Todays Racing Tip – BATSHEBA BAY
Time & Track – 4.50 Epsom (27/08)
Best Odds – 3/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 3pt win
Analysis – Has enjoyed the step-up to 1m2f on first three starts, the first of those when beaten a half-length in a higher grade handicap and that race continues to work out well before again running to a good standard in the same grade when fifth at Goodwood. He struck at the third time of asking though the last day at Windsor and only raised 2lb here can put up a bold bid to land a double with the booking of Andrea Atzeni looking a positive one, still more to come from this three-year old at this trip you’d have thought.

Todays Racing Tip – MILITIA
Time & Track – 3.25 Ripon (27/08)
Best Odds – 9/2 @ Paddy Power
Stake – 2pt win
Analysis – Opened his account on first start of the year when winning a maiden at Thirsk over the minimum five-furlongs and added to that tally on second handicap start from a 3lb lower mark over this journey at Ayr. He was pitched into a valuable class 2 contest last time out when sent off favourite when beaten six-lengths and the drop back into class 4, along with a 3lb ease in the weights gives this colt a chance of getting back on the winning trail.

Todays Racing Tip – BOOM THE GROOM
Time & Track – 3.05 Epsom (27/08)
Best Odds – 11/2 @ Paddy Power
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Career record of seven wins with five of them coming over this trip and in this grade. Went close on the all-weather on his penultimate start and can be forgiven for his latest York run in a valuable handicap just five days ago. He was a close third in this race in 2015 and was sent off favourite for last year’s renewal where he stumbled and unseated his rider coming out o the stalls. Remains on a mark of 90 which is very dangerous having won five times from a higher mark, with the best of those 12lb above this. Worth a punt here.

Todays Racing Tip – WAARIF
Time & Track – 4.35 Ripon (27/08)
Best Odds – 11/2 @ William Hill
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Has enjoyed a good summer period with three wins in his last four outings (the defeat came over a furlong further the ideal) and his 5lb claimer Conor McGovern has been on board for those last four races. His record over a mile is solid, his only outing at this track ended in a track and trip victory the last day and he’s also won his only start in this grade. With the form he’s in you can’t desert this five-year old and another bold showing can be expected despite this being another career-high mark. Gurkha Friend looks a danger and I was torn between the two but it’s David O’Meara’s gelding who gets the nod with this yard winning two of the last four runnings of this race.

Todays Racing Tip – CORAZON ESPINADO
Time & Track – 5.25 Epsom (27/08)
Best Odds – 6/1 @ Paddy Power
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Won a couple of all-weather handicaps at the beginning of the year and landed the hat-trick when transferring back to the turf in April over this C&D, beating the re-opposing Cuban Heel by a half-length. He arrives here after a fair third at Salisbury and the handicapper has eased him a pound for that effort which puts him back on a mark of 80 where he was beaten just over a length in a slightly better race than this at Ascot. Form over this trip reads well (1-1-2) and can run a nice race for Hayley Turner.
