Analysis – Has progressed immensely from last year on his first three outings this season. He won on seasonal debut at Sundown before landing a second consecutive Group 3 success when bolting up by six-lengths at Newbury and stepped up further at the Royal meeting when in complete control in the Group 2 Hardwick Stakes over track and trip. He ticks plenty of boxes in regards trip/track/ground and although regular pilot Ryan Moore is on Hydrangea for obvious reasons, William Buick is a viable replacement.

Stake – 2pt win

Analysis – This filly won over C&D on hr penultimate start in a higher grade from a pound lower mark and can be slightly forgiven for a recent third at Haydock having blown the start. She’s on the same mark here but has the assistance of Conor Murtagh and his 5lb claim which technically puts her 4lb lower than that victory here. She’s versatile ground wise having won on both quick and slow ground so any rain shouldn’t be a hindrance and has the plum draw, looks slightly overpriced.

Analysis – Hasn’t won for just over a year but has been running well in recent weeks and his mark continues to lower. That last win came in a class 2over C&D from a mark of 87 (14lb higher) and a next win can’t be far off with his highest winning perch in fact being 19lb higher than current rating. The softer surface won’t be a problem with him already successful with give in the ground and you’d have to think on past exploits he can go well if on a going day with P J McDonald, 18% strike-rate with trainer, on board.
