The First point to make is that’s so much better than last month, as I said last month the reason for the poor showing was too many 2nds and not enough winners. As I also said I normally expect a 50/50 share between 1st and 2nds so this months 11 wins & 12 2nds is about spot on. Again statistically the number of winners 11/124 1:11 is slightly better than my average over the 43months which is 1:15 and the win/place strike rate of 34/124 or 1:3.65 is slightly better than the 1:4.5 for the overall 43 months. That said I’m a little disappointed it wasn’t a whole lot better because several of the runners up should have won. From the very first runner in October Dutch Masterpiece who should have won as should Taajub at Brighton, Mystic Mirage at Catterick and Eternitys Gift at Newcastle. All traded very short in running and all looked to be coming to win there races. For me the ride of the month went to Dean Pratt for getting 3rd on Tennessee Bird the other day at Sedgefield, his saddled slipped between the last 2 hurdles but he still managed to nudge him out for 3rd and for his troubles he was decamped after the finishing line. There were only a few very poor performances all month but they are to be expected when backing big prices. The nice thing for October was the run of winners early in the month meaning we were always on top, getting 5 winners in the first 7 days was very pleasing and I’ll be very much hoping to do the same in the early days of November.

September saw a loss of 59.07 pts so since joining up with Tipsters Review we now have a small profit of 9.23pts which hopefully we can build on now going into November.

Overall since I started keeping records of all my recommended bets in March 2013 the overall profit now stands at 1330pts to 1pt ew Singles with 29/43 months in profit 67%
