Had issues for trainer Marco Boti but he caught the eye a couple of times on the all-weather for that yard. He’s now with the Chris Wall team and he caught the eye again on his table debut, staying on well over a mile 2f at Leicester, and although failing to build on that effort last time, it was more a case of him not staying the trip at Newmarket more than anything in what was a well-run race with a couple of progressive rivals filling the first two places. Tomorrow’s race contains a few potentially useful types from top yards, but if The Thunderer can continue his good form for his new yard on what will be just his third start of the campaign, then I think he should prove competitive tomorrow.
