Analysis – Has to put a few recent flops behind him but they came in a higher grade and as a result has slipped back down to his highest winning mark. Prior to this recent runs he went close twice on the sytnethics in this lower grade and two runs at this track last Autumn were solid efforts from a 4lb higher mark. He strung up a nice run of results at the beginning of last season when winning 5/7 between the months of March-July. This six-year old had done most his winning over this trip and has three wins to his name on good-to-firm ground and talented apprentice Jason Watson looks a good jockey booking so if he can get back to the form of last spring he looks very much overpriced.

Analysis – This mare is thriving at present after a duo of six-furlong wins at Ripon on good-to-firm ground and she’s got the same conditions here again. She’s up another 7lb for the latest victory resulting in a rise in grade but she’s clearly on an upward curve and Silvestre De Sousa (2/2 on her) is again on board. She looks slightly overpriced to me with the form she’s in so is worth a punt.

Analysis – Comes here off the back of a narrow victory at Hexham over two-miles in a higher grade and has only been raised 2lb for that which now puts him on a mark of 112 where he has been successful twice before, both over middle-distances. He’s got a better recored over this 2m4f than over the 2m in which he won the last day and the better ground is right up his street. Jamie Hamilton takes off a handy 3lb too for a trainer who’s currently going through a good spell of results and he should remain competitive again if in the same form.
