Analysis – Won on handicap debut off a mark of just 67 back in 2016 but he’s progressed nicely (now rated 100) and added another four successes to his CV. Ended last campaign with a neck victory over six-furlongs at this track and followed that up when returning in mid-April when landing the spoils over this trip at Newmarket. The form of that race was boosted when the fourth, George Bowen, bolted up in this grade here yesterday. Up another 6lb for that win, Nicola Currie claims her 5lb again and I think there’s still more improvement to come from this four-year old, so a chance is taken in this big-field handicap.

Analysis – This colt has won 4/6 of his starts to date with the most recent coming on seasonal reappearance at Newmarket. He’s stepping into unknown territory in regard the trip but he’s shaped as though the step up is worth a go. This long straight will help too as he’s a galloping type who has won on similar courses to this (Newbury/Haydock) and although Roaring Lion got the better of him at the end of last season, there’s a chance that horse will struggle with the extra yardage. He’ll enjoy conditions and the yard won this race last year with Permian.
