Analysis – All seven career victories have come over this five-furlong trip with three of those coming here and his course form is strong (1-1-1-2-2-3). Though his wins have come on quick ground he has run well a couple of times in these slightly softer conditions so that shouldn’t be too much of an issue and he’s handicapped to be competitive as he sits 2lb lower than his highest winning perch and has also won twice before from this mark of 75. Went well the last day when second at Musselburgh and the 2lb drop, along with Rowan Scott’s 3lb claim makes him of interest especially with that course form to boot.

Analysis – The so called veteran of this field at the age of seven, this gelding has old form to go very close having won both a Group 3 and a Listed event back in 2015 and is sitting on an 8lb lower mark than when winning a Newmarket handicap the same year. Five of his six career wins have come over this six-furlong trip and he went very close at HQ two starts back when beaten half-a-length in identical conditions. A recent fourth on the all-weather can be forgiven having been over the minimum trip and he maybe didn’t take to the synthetics, but back on turf with conditions to suit he can go well and Andrea Atzeni is a notable jockey booking.
