Analysis – Having come out of the same race as my (#Nb) this five-year old finished one place ahead of him when fourth at Newbury and had previously won on penultimate outing in identical conditions to this at Epsom from a 4lb lower mark. He was beaten by half a length over track and trip from a 1lb higher mark back in the spring and his best form has come with give in the ground so conditions here are ideal. Jim Crowley is 1/3 on this gelding and his trainer Amanda Perret is enjoying a good run of form in recent weeks and should outrun his odds.

Analysis – All three wins so far have come over this 1m2f trip on quick ground so conditions here will be different here but he has gone close on a couple of goes on soft ground more recently when a staying on fifth in a slightly better race than this at Newbury off a pound higher mark. He’s 2lb above the mark he was on when winning over C&D back in May and the booking of Oisin Murphy is a good one with this being the first time he’s ridden for trainer Neil Mulholland and this four-year old is still capable of being competitive from this mark of 80.
