Todays Racing Tip – REGGAE RUNNER
Time & Track – 1.50 Sandown (26/04)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Narrowly beaten on second start in a maiden but made it third time lucky when comfortably landing the odds at Lingfield over this 1m trip. He returned after a short break with a narrow defeat last Saturday by a neck and is in here again off the same mark. He’s due to go in the handicap so is 3lb well in here and may be able to take advantage of that on second start in handicap company.

Todays Racing Tip – CHRISTMAS IN APRIL
Time & Track – 2.05 Perth (26/04)
Best Odds – 9/2 @ Sky Bet
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – This seven-year old has jumped well in the main in two chase starts, was well beaten on debut at Taunton but was much closer at Chepstow three weeks ago when possibly not seeing out the 2m7f trip (looked dangerous four out before weakening). He went close over timber in a 0-140 when beaten two-lengths at Cheltenham over 2m5f so this drop back in trip should suit and also the better ground will be in his favour. He’s 2lb lower now, Jonjo O’Neill jnr looks a notable jockey booking and the 3lb he claims only strengthens this geldings chances. I think he’s got a great chance.

Todays Racing Tip – CAPARD KING
Time & Track – 4.15 Perth (26/04)
Best Odds – 13/2 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Was unlucky at Kelso last time when stumbling badly on landing and unseating his rider whilst travelling well into the race. He was supported well into favouritism that day in a much stronger race than this and the handicapper has somehow dropped him 2lb for that. Despite no wins for almost three years to the day, he’s often ran well in defeat including over 3m5f at Warwick last March when beaten just under two-lengths from a higher mark and he’s so well handicapped these days (17lb below last winning mark). He seems versatile in regards the ground and we know he stays so here’s hoping for a big run on third start for his new yard.

Todays Racing Tip – SMUGGLER’S BLUES
Time & Track – 4.40 Bangor (26/04)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – He put in a great round of jumping at Ludlow on his penultimate start and held every chance at the second last before quite clearly not seeing out the 3m1f before not showing his true running at Newbury when last seen and I’m happy to draw a line through that run with this drop in trip likely to suit much better. He comes from a yard in good form (25% strike-rate in past fortnight) and the booking of Lorcan Williams catches the eye in this race for conditionals. He’s an unexposed seven-year old who could well be sitting on a dangerous mark of just 111 (6lb below that Ludlow run).
