Analysis – He’s been around a while now competing in some of the biggest h’cap sprints, he won the Ayr Silver Cup in 2012 off 94 and subsequently won a Class 2 at York off 103. Todays he off just 78 on his favour soft ground on the back of a couple of half decent runs including 2nd at Hyadock off 81 on soft and a close 4th at his favoured track York beaten only just under 2L off 80. Last time at Pontefract he was a closing 6th of 11 behind the in form Lincoln. He’s now 2lb below that run against similar types.

Analysis – Ran a blinder a Chester last time when left behind at the start, running on through beaten horses to be a well held third behind runaway winner Above The Rest. His best runs have been when ridden up with the pace so that makes his last run that little bit better. He’s come down 11lb in just his last 4 runs and is now 7lb below his last winning mark.

Analysis – I’m going for one that has never been placed in any of his 11 career runs to date and was last of 4 finishers on his only run here. So why do I like him, to start with I noted him when running on after being hampered at Yarmouth when 4th of 10. That was over 9F, he then ran here iover 10F in a 5 runners race so I couldn’t do him as I hate small fields as they throw up unusual results. Last time I again didn’t do him as I felt 12F was too far for him as his only 2 races at 12F or further have resulted in 12th of 12 and 10th of 10, my feelings were proven when only 7th of 9. So why should today be any different, well he’s over 10F which I feel is his trip plus those last 3 races were 0-65, 0-60 & 0-60 h’caps todays is only 0-55 so a slight drop in grade on a track he’s run on already and with 16 runners plenty of runners to get him covered up, yes he’ll need luck in running but hopefully the odds will warrent the gamble.

Analysis – A little bit of a risk on the fitness after 109 days off but he comes back dropped in grade down 5lbs and first time cheek pieces for a trainer who so far this jumps season has a 50% S/R May 1/2-June 0/1 July 0/1 Aug 1/1 Sept 1/1. The last time he ran in Class 4 he won by 7L over 2m at Ludlow off 114 in a 17 runner race on soft ground. He subsequently won a Class 3 off 125 and went into the 130’s and ran in Grade 3 h’cap at Sandown. His last run was Class 2 at Worcester 0-150 back in June where unsurprisingly he was pulled up out classed at 50-1. He has won 10 of 51 career races including 6 over hurdles of which 1 was over CD admittedly 5 years ago in a seller when rated 130.
