Monday - Day 1
Lingfield 15.30: Cruise ToTheLimit 0.5pts e/w 6/1 Generally - Lost
Cruise ToTheLimit has now dropped 21lb below last winning mark of 84, Winless since 2014, has been sliding down the ratings, thought
he ran a good race last week finishing behind poppy in the wind who was heavily gambled on that day, His last two wins were
over this trip but my slight concern is that recent record shows better permorfances over 5f rather than 6f, Have to think
the stable know what they are doing with the step up in trip as being honest if they dont know what to do with him by now they
should really exit the game considering the rating slide...
Tuesday - Day 2
Uttoxeter 13.00: Peruvien Bleu 1pt win 7/4 Generally
Uttoxeter 14.30: Mrs Burbridge 0.5 Pts e/w 9/2 Generally
Fontwell 14.40: Silent Steps 1pt win 9/4 bet365
I like the look of Peruvien bleu here, Was second to Rocklander when last seen giving him a good battle, I had mentioned that particular
race looked a good one, I think turned out relatively quickly should have a good chance in this, Trip and ground fine...
Mrs Burbridge won pretty well when last seen, raised 7lb for that i still think she may have improvement in her and a mark of 89 is well
within her grasp, I think this type of trip is more suitable for her rather than 2m, got to think they will try to squeeze one more
race out of her whilst looking in form..
I like the PTP form that Silent Steps brings with him here, Readily took care of two "good sorts" in the shape of Coillte Lass and Queens
Well when last seen, Whilst she has to prove herself in the pro ranks tomorrow she could be anything, Bit of a Concern
that Alan King has two in the race, markets very slow to open, b365 offering 9/4, bfsb offering 6/4, so doubt will get any better than
9/4 early doors, with the discrepancy between the 2 firms...
Wednesday - Day 3
A couple of slightly raised stakes tomorrow on bigger prices, Hopefully find something..
Lingfield 12.05: Take The Helm 0.5 pts e/w 6/1 generally
Hexham 13.15: Gibbstown 0.75 pts ew 10/1 bfsb, 8s generally(Markets slow to open as well)
Hexham 13.45: Champagne To Go 1pt win 2/1 b365/sky(Markets slow to open for this)
Hexham 14.15: Grange Hall 0.75 pts ew 11/1 betbright, 10s generally
If you look at Take the helm in his last race you can see his well being is better than current results suggest, He missed the break in
it and every time he made a semi move he was blocked, 4-5f out he was pulling the head of him, and then just kept running into semi
trouble thus preventing proper daylight to get momentum, ran on well at the end but never figured, Is still 4lbs above last winning
mark, but handicapper did not relent from last run, This time last year seen him strike twice in a row, Tom Queally takes the ride
tomorrow so we may see different tactics used..., Not happy with the price, bookies not giving much away here early doors...
Paul Stafford sends 3 over from Ireland, with 2 of them being selections of ours, Gibbstown absolutely loves it here winning 3/5 times
in his career, Is now 9lbs above his last winning mark but that was under Brian Hughes so effectively he is just 2lbs higher with the
claimer taking 7lbs off, Is type of horse who can come out one day and be beaten half the track and then win next time out, with ground
and trip to suit and a liking for the course id like to see him trying tomorrow...
Champagne to go kept on really well last week to get 2nd in Soft/Heavy ground, will face similiar conditions tomorrow and would like to
think they have kept him ticking over for this, I checked the form of the ptp that final reminder won and the 3rd and 4th in it have
been well beaten in all their races since turning pro, Tom Scudamore booked for the ride on final reminder makes me slightly afraid
but towards end of champagnes last race the jockey pushed him at the end saying that is what you have to pass next time...
Another here from the Stafford stable in the shape of Grange Hall, was entered for 2 races here tomorrow, one over 2m and this trip, Another
who has a liking for this course with stats reading 321, last win came at Sligo which was over 2m4f but was on heavy ground which he
is supposed to get tomorrow, has good enough bare form over in Ireland so just looks interesting tomorrow for this race...
Talk to you tomorrow and best of luck
