Today’s Horse Racing Tips
Todays Racing Tip – SIOUX NATION
Time & Track – 3.40 Ascot (22/06)
Best Odds – 4/1 @ Bet365
Stake – 3pt win
Analysis – Won last year’s Norfolk Stakes over the five-furlong trip so has the course form already and since that win this colt has added a Group 1 success to his CV when scoring over this six-furlong trip on good-to-firm at The Curragh. He wasn’t beaten far in the Juddmonte at Newmarket in September and a recent victory in a Naas Group 3 means he arrives here in good form. He’ll like the quick ground and as already mentioned has won at this track which is always a positive, so I can see him going close in the hands of Ryan Moore for A P O’Brien (same winning combination as last year).

Todays Racing Tip – GWORN
Time & Track – 7.40 Ayr (22/06)
Best Odds – 15/2 @ Betfair
Stake – 1pt win
Analysis – Won this race from a 2lb higher mark last year under P J McDonald, who rides agin here and his last five wins have all come at this venue (four over C&D). He probably wouldn’t want the ground rattling fast though was only beaten two-lengths in 2nd on his penultimate start here from this mark and a recent last-placed effort at Musselburgh can be ignored as that was over an extra four-furlongs. The drop back to this trip is what’s needed and if reproducing last year’s performance he should be involved over a C&D that he clearly relishes.

Todays Racing Tip – ALPHA CENTAURI
Time & Track – 4.20 Ascot (22/06)
Best Odds – 7/2 @ Bet365
Stake – 2pt win
Analysis – This filly has won 3/6 career starts so far, all of which have come on better ground. She was beaten by a neck in the Albany Stakes at last hear’s Royal meeting over six-furlongs (on good-to-firm) and her two other defeats have both come on testing ground. She clearly needs this better ground and when stepped up to this mile trip for the first time she landed the Irish 1,000 Guineas the last day at the Curragh and on that form alone she must go close, especially having run well here last year and is unexposed over this trip. Colm O’Donoghue is the only jockey to have ridden this horse competitively and does so again here.
